BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's prime minister said on Tuesday he has commissioned a study to look into issuing COVID-19 vaccination certificates for international travellers, as the country seeks to revive a tourism industry battered by coronavirus curbs.

Thai army medic in South Sudan dismissed after trying to sell fake COVID-19 vaccine

Thai Supreme Commander General Chalermphol Srisawat has confirmed a news report that an army medic in South Sudan had given injections of harmless plain water, claiming it to be COVID-19 vaccine, to 273 Thai troops on a peace-keeping mission under UN command last year.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thai Airways International Pcl said on Tuesday it is cutting its workforce by half and reducing its fleet size to become a more agile and efficient airline, as the troubled flag carrier submitted its turnaround plan, officials said.

JAKARTA (Reuters) - Indonesia's Mount Sinabung volcano sent a cloud of hot ash as high as 5 km (3.1 miles) on Tuesday, in its first big eruption since August last year, the country's volcanology centre said.

PHUKET: Wichit Police have revealed that the street shooting in front of Soi Hua Hom, off Sakdidet Rd, last month was the result of an argument over the victims parking in the middle of the narrow street, preventing any other motorists from passing through.
