This is on a settlement visa - I imagine that yours was probably a visitors visa.

More knowledgeable people than me will come along later but, as I see it, there is no reason why your wife could not visit you on a standard visitor visa whilst you work for 6 months..

 

She would have to return to Thailand and then make the settlement application from Thailand.
