Hi,

I know Indonesia is in the APEC and we have gone to Singapore (no problems no visa needed for a Thai)

Is it the same for Indonesia ?

How many days do we get ? (any recent experiences)

Thanks

My Oz mate and his Thai wife are currently returning from Sumatera.

Have heard from him , and he did not mention any difficulties.

.As soon as he is home, I shall ask him to reply to your post.....then you will get up to date info....

A Thai is eligible for 30 day visa exempt entry to Indonesia. You, on the other hand, if from most western countries will have to buy a visa on arrival, which will be good for 7 ($10) or 30 ($25) days. Both must have passport with at least 6 months validitiy.

Thanks for the confirmation.

I have a one year multi entry business visa which gives me 6o days at each entry

Saves me stoping at VOA desk

Funny you should say that. I found that getting the VOA is actually faster as he stamped us in at the same time and we were waved through the rather long regular line. :o

I have never seen that at Jakarta as the VOA desks are way before the immigration counters, I am not sure it is possible there.

As you already know....Thai 's do not pay for a visa into Indonesia...

One odd happening......on entry ,my mate bought two visas, one for him, the other for his Thai wife....and immigration actually refunded the cash for his wife...without being asked...........an almost unknown occurence!!

Came back from Bali with my Thai girlfreind last week. She flew through immigration with no visa needed and I took a bit longer. I over stayed my 7 days by a few hours and had to pay a few dollars but no problems as I knew I had anyway. She never had to pay as she got 30 days for free.

You still have to pay the airport tax on leaving though for both of you.
