Repeated notifications of updates but no new posts.

I'm getting notified every few minutes that a thread has been updated, usually multiple times, but when I go to that thread there have been no new posts.  Any ideas?

    I have just sent a message to admin about it , I received 10 notifications in 2hrs to posts I have already read.

     

    Indeed over a dozen received and believe cause may have been a closure and then re-opening of thread as I believe there was a post closing 90 day reporting at one point.  A real PIA for members.  At least today all seems well (on that front).
