COVID case at KKU Hospital in Khon Kaen

Featured Replies

Have heard that a case of COVID has been reported at this hospital ( KKU Hospital Khon Kaen ) in a visitor that was there on 20th March.
The person is known to have gone to Sizzler in Central the same day.
I understand further people have tested positive.
My friend read me bits of the THai news report so apologise for nothing more specific.

Can only confirm that there was "some case" in Khon Kaen in TV news.

It amazes me how much the family is excited about such singular cases while at home country daily infected are counted by the thousands.

If I got it right he was a "medical professional" (doctor?).

He has a long timeline until the infection was found/confirmed.

Following "bangkokbiznews.com" three(!) doctors have been found positive (so far).

This shows why medical staff have to be top priority for vaccination.

Thanks for your reply.
I am from UK and wonder why people don't wear masks whilst here in Thailand even children wear them.
Having been to Queen Sirikit hospital twice in the periods mentioned, and to Sizzler, I am quarantining myself for the next 14 days.
