This sounds very promising...

A new vaccine for Covid-19 that is entering clinical trials in Brazil, Mexico, Thailand and Vietnam could change how the world fights the pandemic. The vaccine, called NDV-HXP-S, is the first in clinical trials to use a new molecular design that is widely expected to create more potent antibodies than the current generation of vaccines. And the new vaccine could be far easier to make.

Interesting research but it is a bit ironical that the emphasis is on production in eggs whereas recently the trend has been to move away from eggs (https://www.embs.org/pulse/articles/new-vaccine-manufacturing-methods-are-moving-away-from-the-egg/). That includes production of ordinary flu vaccines (e.g. https://www.cdc.gov/flu/prevent/qa_flublok-vaccine.htm)

Tried, true, and inexpensive vaccine production technology...as the article says, this is especially important for middle and lower income countries.

This vaccine has several advantages. One is that it greatly increases vaccine yield from eggs, removing one egg issue.  This increases production and allows low cost local manufacture.

The main advance is better genetic design flexibility than current mRNA vaccines, which their earlier research also contributed to.  The major players turned them down on this 'new and improved' so they decided to license it world wide for free.  (Som nam na?) Or something along those lines.
