Mandatory masking and social distancing and business lock downs were an emergency first-response, but that was last year. This "government" needs to wake up and see that now is the time for nation-wide vaccinations. Make it free or low subsidized cost Pfizer/Moderna/Johnson, not that Sinovac Sputnik <deleted>. Do it NOW or else you can expect another year of dead tourism .

Whilst I agree that everyone should "mask up" I can't help thinking that they have turned this into another nice little money spinner ....

The original idea of masks was to stop your Covid laden spittle from reaching someone else, directly in front of you and less than 2 metres away. That was the idea of social distancing.

And now I could be fined up to Bht 20,000 for not wearing 'when leaving my home', someone there or not.

Does it mean I MUST wear one while driving my car or motorbike?

Is there a number where I can report any non-maskers, and get a % of the fine. LOL

As I have been led to believe, vaccination only minimises the effects of the virus on that person. They can still be contagous so should still wear a mask if talking directly to someone less than 2 metres from them.

I'd  like to  know  how  many have actually had this  fine and more to the point  how  many have actually paid, many Thais  haven't got 200 baht let  alone 20k. ridiculous.

I read somewhere (think it was Thaiger) that provinces not listed can hand out fines upto 4,000 baht.

When they say "when you leave home", does that mean you have to wear a mask in your car too?

This concerns me too. Wearing a mask can cause my glasses to steam up. Not great when you're trying to see were you are going! I always have a mask to hand just in case I have to stop at a police road block.

Why would you need to wear a face mask while driving.

In a car your windows is the face mask.

On a m/c your helmet visor is a face mask.

Because 'he' said so? And he used to be a General and still lives in a General's house, so he should know...

Always do what the man with his face in the trough says (or burbles due to how he's got his face in the - well, you know).

Why is Chiang Mai not listed?

what am I missing?

The pall of acrid smoke and poisonous haze effectively destroys Covid 19 virus (and residents)

Has the making to be a very lucrative money maker. As one poster said, even while running?
