We are going to get this propaganda every day until it happens...

...and then they will color the public a narrative of lies to absolve themselves of all blame for the utter mismanagement of the pandemic that was unleashed when unfettered travel was allowed from Covid Red-Zones throughout the entire country during Songkran.

The May 1 signup mentioned in the OP is supposedly only for Thai citizens, and then, only the targeted groups mentioned, not the general public at large.

The plans/details for the farang/foreigner part of the government's vaccination program remain under wraps, apart from their general commitment that we'll be included at some point.

Only 6 to 10 weeks away then....no need to place any orders elsewhere in order to pre-empt a rise in infections.......should be fine.

6 to 10 weeks, in that time expect to read at least 20 new / adjusted / changed / authorized / unauthorized / suggestions / plans / confusions / conspiracies.

Plus god knows how many changes in delivery dates of vaccines / who goes first / shortages etc., etc.

This below is for the targeted groups of Thais in Bangkok, not foreigners, AFAIK. But it's an illustration of the government's plan to get vaccination sites away from hospitals, in order to help protect those facilities and their staff from potential exposure to the virus via lots of public traffic.

"The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration joins hands with the private sector to establish 14 vaccination service units outside hospitals in Bangkok to facilitate the public's access to the vaccinations. People can request the vaccination service at hospitals and public service units located outside the hospitals. The vaccination units can provide services to the public for up to 20,000 persons per day. Those who wish to vaccinate may register through the "Mor Prom" LINE application, which will open for registration from 1 May 2021 onward."

Everything you need to know about Thailand --

News in Thailand is ALMOST ALWAYS in the form:

  • Thailand to do this
  • Thailand plans to do that
  • Phuu Yai will do this and that

It's ALMOST NEVER

  • Thailand has achieved this
  • Phuu Yai has done that
