BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's cabinet on Tuesday approved 45 billion baht ($1.45 billion) of projects aimed at reviving the economy, the prime minister said, as the tourism-reliant country struggles with a third wave of coronavirus infections.

Thai Appeals Court upholds former Democrat MP Thepthai’s election fraud conviction

Thailand’s Appeals Court (Tuesday) upheld the verdict of the Nakhon Si Thammarat provincial court, in sentencing former Democrat MP Thepthai Senpong and his brother Manote to two years in prison without suspension and suspending their election rights for ten years, for election fraud.

Project Value under Board of Investment Programs Increases 80% in First Quarter

BANGKOK (NNT) - The value of investment projects, submitted under Board of Investment (BoI) tax incentive programs, has increased by 80% year-on-year to 123.36 billion baht in the first quarter, driven mainly by the COVID-19 pandemic and measures to curb the spread of the virus.
