Zoom

Featured Replies

I left Skype after 20 years of daily use for the CCP's Zoom.

Is there any way to remove the camera view of myself as default, not having to do it each and every time I talk to someone?

When I go to a meeting I've arranged, what's the simplest way to start it. Now I go t the diary, click on the link there, then it goes to a website, which opens lots of boxes, is there a way to go directly to the meting, without all this complication?

Many thanks

On opening, before you click to join a meeting there is a box 'Turn off my Video', don't know if it stays for the next session. Or there is a button once you are in a meeting, bottom left, to STOP VIDEO.

I still prefer Skype for one-to-one talks.

Have you got the Zoom app installed?

I can't see how to default to camera off, yet. I have to turn off the camera every time.

EDIT Try this https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/203024649-Video-Or-Microphone-Off-By-Attendee#:~:text=Disabling Video or Audio by,top bar and choose Preferences.

Thanks for the info,

I prefer Skype but can't make appointments with it.

'I'd like to have my camera view turned off when I'm in Zoom so I don't see it, not the other person.

thanks
