My doctor (at Bumrungrad Bangkok) recently suggested surgery (marsupialization), and I am not sure about it.

I am looking at other Gynecologist in Bangkok to have a second opinion.

 

Does anyone have any experience with this and can suggest a good Gynecologist for it?

How symptomatic are you?  Asymtomatic Bartholins cysts usually require no treatment

 

Are you post-menopausal?

Thank you, when I went to see the doctor I was symptomatic (swelling), but then it went away after 2 days. The doctor recommended marsupialization within a month, she said that it is necessary to prevent potential emergency surgery in the future.
 

I went to another doctor at BNH and she recommended to leave it alone and come back after 3 months.

 

thank you for your suggestion, I will check out the doc you recommended.

I expect Dr. Panon will echo the advise of the BNH doctor. There is no need to rush into surgery if it is not symptomatic.
