Daily News reported that the Thai met office had issued a warning for seven Thai provinces in the central/south and south area.

This is because of Cyclone Yaas in the Bay of Bengal that was heading for India.

Weather conditions associated with the cyclone would bring heavy rain and high seas to Thailand.

Waves could be 2-4 meters in both the Andaman and Gulf.

The provinces affected are Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan (Hua Hin), Chumphon, Ranong, Phangnga, Phuket and Krabi.

The weather warning lasts from now until Saturday 29th May.
