Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul confirmed today (Wednesday) that mass COVID-19 inoculations, scheduled to begin on June 7th, remain on course, with Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute in Nonthaburi province designated as one of the main vaccination sites.

Mr. Anutin’s confirmation is intended to reassure the public that they will receive their vaccine jabs, after the institute announced the postponement of inoculations to July, claiming that it had not yet received the vaccines.

The institute subsequently issued a retraction of their statement via Facebook, saying that the vaccinations will go ahead as scheduled, and urged the people to show up as appointed.

I've made an appointment via Mor Prom at my local public hospital for a vaccine shot on June 7th, and I'm definitely going to show up for it.

  • I thought we now had a Czar of COVID 19 so why are we getting posts from all and sundry saying one thing one day then changing it the next. Only the Czar should be posting information so we know it is

Let's hope it has the desired affect. We are all tired of this and would like nothing more that for this to by a success.

Guess he didn't get the memo that there isn't enough vaccine to go around to the " mass "????

Phew, that bought us about a week. Now lads, what are we going to say when some of them do turn up on the 7th and there aren't enough vaccines?

I don't know if the app is dead but the appointments, apparently, aren't.  I have a vaccine appointment done with the app for June 16.  When my Thai partner tried to register me for a different appointment last Saturday at another hospital using my pink card, the June 16 appointment came up and that hospital told him the June 16th appointment is still valid at the first hospital.  Whether I will actually get the jab is up in the air--waiting to see what happens with others with earlier appointments.

Easy to make a comment setting expectations, as we all know it’s a completely different matter when it comes to delivering them!! It doesn’t help that we’ve all heard these failed promises before!!

Oh, no he doesn't...

Let's hope that Anutin never hears about homeopathy, or one dose of AZ will suffice for the entire nation, lol.

Wonder how diluted the good stuff will be with the sinovac saline water?

With or without the vaccines....the mass vaccination schedule will proceed on June 7th!

Chose 14th for the same reason, let them have a go at getting organized for a few days first, we live in hope. I expect forms will need to be filled out making the process far longer than it should.

Placebo sounds like something made from fish.

You can Better Trust your immunesystem.

You survived the flu OR other disease yes?? I suggest you not take this experimental vaccin, drink tonic with Quinine and take vit Dyou may be safe.

OK, so who's going to tell these poor saps clutching their vaccination reservations that it's BYOV?

Maybe a press release just before midnight on Sunday, 6 June?

He also just stated that their are ample supplies of many different brands of vaccines - which fly right in the face of the current documented shortages that hospitals in Thailand are experiencing.

This guy is a filthy rich bloke who bought himself a ministerial position.  Personally?  I don't trust a single word that dribbles out of his mouth.
