Where are the spiders and geckos when ya really need them?

Happens at our house every year (usually after a big rain) since I came to live here in Buriram in 2009. There are so many flies that the jingjocks, tookays, frogs & toads are soon so bloated that they cannot cope with the onslaught.  As others have indicated, switch off all the lights in the house, turn on a remote light and wait until it subsides. Luckily for me it only usually lasts from 7pm-7.40ish.

  • are you confusing flies with flying ants/termites ? They typically swarm after a summer rain in many places...and they can crawl in the smallest spaces. You should see their wings all over the floor n

Hint, close door and windows don't wait for  Wife????

Open all doors and windows, turn off your indoor lights, but keep outside lights on, then once they are outside turn those lights off too, off they go to visit your neighbors ????. wait at least 15 min and should be OK to switch lights back on.
