As many people have seen their vaccination appointments cancelled or postponed, due to insufficient allocation of doses to several parts of the country, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha apologised at a press conference today (Tuesday), saying more vaccines are being procured.

“I would like to apologise if there are people who have not received the service or if there have been changes to your appointments. I am stressing the principles I have outlined, will fix the issue and will compensate those who have been affected as soon as possible,” said the prime minister after this week’s cabinet meeting.

According to the prime minister:

● Every province will receive the vaccines, so that inoculations can begin at the same time. “No province will be left behind,” he said.

● The vaccine allocation is based on size of the population, age, infection numbers, risk groups, occupations and whether the provinces are tourist destinations or economically significant areas. Each province is responsible for allocating vaccines to its hospitals.

● Everyone who has booked their vaccination appointments will be inoculated and as many original appointments as possible will be kept.

Prayut would probably be late for his own funeral.????????

I have seen more convincing finger pointing.

But he said last week there were enough vaccines and 70% of Bkk would be done by the end of July ???? Seems to have gone a bit quiet on the Siambioscience front, where are the millions of doses they promised?

76 provinces have been left behind Phuket.

What about the expat retirees in Phuket. There is still no way for us to register!

Don't want to be part of a gene altering injection anyway, it's not a vaccine, might have it if ever I have symptoms though.

Meanwhile at  LAX:

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA)  Los Angeles World Airports began offering free on-site COVID-19 vaccinations to the public Thursday at Los Angeles International Airport.

The vaccine clinic, run in partnership with the Los Angeles Fire Department and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, is open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and will offer one-dose vaccinations from Johnson & Johnson to anyone ages 18 or older.

There is a video posted on youtube at International arrivals showing a guy holding a sign directing international travelers to get vaccinated after clearing immigration customs and immigration.  Cost = Zero and supply = ample.  I should be arriving in the near future but I prefer Pfizer(higher efficacy than J&J).

Why would you have it if you have symptoms? The vaccine takes 3 weeks to start working and by then you'll either be immune anyway by being dead or have an natural immune response.

Well if you cannot register, then you are not registered, and you cannot complain that you have been left behind!

Simples!

Nonsense. Only expats with work permits have been allowed to register for the vaccine in Phuket. By definition, retirees are not included in this group.

Facts about COVID-19 mRNA Vaccines
They cannot give someone COVID-19.

mRNA vaccines do not use the live virus that causes COVID-19.

They do not affect or interact with our DNA in any way.

mRNA never enters the nucleus of the cell, which is where our DNA (genetic material) is kept.
The cell breaks down and gets rid of the mRNA soon after it is finished using the instructions.

I suspect that will be missed as slightly too far left of the blinker......

Not to worry, if you survive COVID 19 you can get vaccinated next year. Thailand will have plenty of vaccine after the pandemic is over. Great planning.
