The Japanese say everyone has three faces. The first is put on for the world, the one you wear while in office, at party, on public transport, at lunch with clients or on political rally stages. The second is for friends and family. The third, the truest, is never shown to anyone but yourself.

Obviously, the first is the most dishonest one. Currently, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, LINE, Facebook and etc have added to the category, and the Japanese wisdom as a whole.

That is why it is potentially dangerous for a legal suspect to be turned into some kind of online celebrity while his or her case is still pending. It is true that when evidence is questionable and injustice looms, social media can lend a helping hand, but it is also true that their involvement can work both ways.

I would love it if he is left alone and we all don’t have to see him anywhere on any media ever again. If he is given a not guilty verdict his head and ego will get so big you won’t be able to tell which is bigger, a hot air balloon or his head.

This is such a sad story that a 3 year old girl was murdered, and this guy became a celeb of any kind by the

Thai media. Shame on the Thai media. Yes stop reporting and mentioning this guy on any media, and let

him fade into the obscurity he deserves.

Geezer

I watched him giving a press conference the other day and have to say it was utterly shameful and disgusting.

From what the wife told me she says he is getting blamed for the kids death as the family had a fall out over land . Then in a search this guy seemingly was the one to find the child’s body despite it basically being hidden in a hole covered in rocks etc and then broke down in front of the cameras etc and was also seemingly told not to touch the body when he found it but he didn’t listen and picked it up . My thoughts were the chances of him being the one to find it out of all the people looking would be extremely slim and if someone wanted to eliminate any reason of dna being on a body and to explain how their dna was on it then what better way than to pick it up .
As for the press conference it showed the guy , his wife ,some top cop who is in with the government and some high profile lawyer who is well known for getting shady people acquitted in court. It started with the cop giving a wai to the suspect and almost crawling over to him to be presented with some plaque or something and then a few laughs . Then the suspect wrapped one of the cloth waistbands you see local headmen wearing in certain areas around the cops waist again while more laughing and joking . All while the lawyer was pointing at the press and mouthing off as if to say how can you blame this amazing guy !

A child is dead and this lot are laughing and joking as if it is nothing and as if they were all higher in status than anyone in the room . The guys wife didn’t look very comfortable about it all and he was shuffling non stop like a cat on a hot tin roof . Their masks certainly hid any form of shame they might have .
If cleared off this case I can see him being attacked when in public somewhere as it stinks of money talks .

Same the world over... the internet monster driven by media companies can make you or break you.

Unfortunately the checks and balances aren't always the priority.

Newspapers and magazines need buyers, TV needs viewers, celebrities need followers...

that's what brings in the money.

This story was moth-balled from last year, but then Dear Leader came under a bit of pressure for his "Defense" budget, handling of the vx issues, Chinese tank purchases, etc.

Hey presto! Attention Shift: 2.0

It's a social disease.
