Hi guys, I know there is no definitive answer on this one but I would like some opinions please.

I know I have to provide 6 months bank statements as part of the supporting paperwork.

On the first 2 statements the balance of my account is the same as the previous one i.e. the same amount of money that went into the account went out throughout the month. The other 4 have around £200-£300 extra left at the end of each month as I have cut back on my spending and nights out etc.

The question is, is this enough to prove I can support my fiancee? I started a new job a couple of months ago and now get paid £2,000 more a year than before and my expenses are far less than my income, as can be seen on my statements.

We really don't want to wait any longer than is absolutely necessary to apply for the visa, I went to see her again about a month ago and being apart is harder than ever. The thing is we don't want to waste an application that doesn't have a chance.

I wouldn't overly worry about money. Provide evidence that you are in employment and can meet your outgoings plus have a bit left over, and that should be fine.

Scouse.
