This guy could be Thailand's Kim Jong-un............viscous, selfish, uncompromising, lacking in empathy, ambitious and ruthless.........combine this with.......

.............An uneducated electorate, comfortable with their lowly position in life, accepting of corruption and nepotism.............everything is in place for him to dominate Thailand for decades to come

(How many times have I said this???) If Thai people are stupid enough to elect these dics after all they put us through...I'm officially giving up!

Thai people didn't elect these "dics".... unfortunately they elected themselves

General Prawit Wongsuwan returns as leader and his protégé Deputy Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Thammanat Prompow.

That is all that needs to be said. This sorry, morally challenged, unethical, anything for power party, has descended to new depths. Utter, moral depravity and bankruptcy.

I feel that Palang Pracharath is setting up to use Thammanat as the fall guy for losing the next election. The party of military incumbents that was needed to permit a smooth royal transition has long expired and their usefulness to the grand scheme of things are over. The party is now seen as a challenge to existing power structure. Only a fool like Thammanat will not be able to see the writings on the wall.

What is this country going to do in the future, if a convicted criminal becomes P.M.?

Have those people completely lost the plot? Recent times have shown some absolutely crazy happenings here, but this is so stupid/ ridiculous, it is beyond belief.

Heres something to think about, Thammanat is PM, has to go to another country, sorry we do not allow convicted criminals entry, how would Thailand then look?

If that happens he will possibly be the only PM barred from entering any other country due to his criminal convictions, other than perhaps Zanzibar and Myanmar.

He won't be PM. The coup leader will be the senate will see to that like last time.
