toolpush
I plan to apply for a 90 day Single Entry Non-Immigrant Type O for Retirement Visa in my home country. Can anyone tell me the duration of validity of such a visa? As in how long after it is issued do I have before It expires or I have to use it? I was planning on applying for it in August and using it next February. Are they good for 6 months or a year?
DrJack54
I believe that a non O visa is valid for 3 months. (Stand to be corrected). I'm not referring to the 90 days your are stamped in on arrival. So 3 months from its issue you would need to use it.
ubonjoe
A single entry non-o visa is valid for 3 months from the date it is issued to use for entry to the country.
statman78
I’m not sure what country you are in but I can from the US and retired in Thailand a couple of years ago. For me it was much easier to enter Thailand on a single entry tourist visa then get my non-o visa while in Thailand. There was less paperwork. toolpush
Thanks for the info. I guess I will enter visa exempt.

Hopefully when you decide to come there won’t be the required quarantine. I just returned to Thailand from the US and have 1 more week of quarantine before heading home to Chiang Rai
