Plasma Ball

Featured Replies

does anybody know where i can buy a 20 cm, 8inch plasma ball in bangkok. the type of light that looks like it has blue lightning inside.

the only place so far i have seen some for sale was mbk but i was not impressed with the quality

There are two possibilities that I have seen:

1. The novelty shop on the 3rd floor of Major Cineplex Ekkamai- they have all sorts of lava lamp & other light gizmos, which do not always include plasma balls- if you can wait until tomorrow, I will be passing by and double check for you- and

2. The National Science Museum Main Gift Shop, inconveniently located inside the National Science Museum out in Rangsit. Quality seemed ok, but the trip alone adds 3-400B to the price- which was in the 2000-3000B range. At least, they had them about 6 months ago when I went there on a school trip. If there were a way to call ahead, I'd advise trying.

The shop in Ekkamai had various tiny and unimpressive specimens of plasma balls, but I think you'd be better off going for the ones at the Science Museum.
