For Australians in Thailand

Featured Replies

Earler tonight on the Australian Embassy facebook page there in a link to register for a vaccination shot only on sunday the 18th in Bangkok but you have to register using their facebook page

Cheers

I tried that facebook link and it had closed down for registrations. I was a bit surprised that it was open for Australian Citizens but not for Australian Permanent Residents, given that permanent residents live in Australia normally, are subject to Australian Taxes when working and are all medicare card holders. Secondly why have Australia offered a limited supply on a first register/first serve basis, rather than allowing for all cirizens and PR's to rehister and be accomodated. The Australian Embassy have executed this action in good faith but with poor planning and a disappointing outcome. If the Australian Embassy or government is going to intercede (which is appreciated by its citizens ans residents) then it should plan fully and then execute that plan in a more professional manner.
