September 2022 if they're very lucky.

How about vaccinating the population here first?!?

What's the percentage here? It's got to be well under 10 percent.

Looks like they have done 12.5m people.  World statistics are HERE

Days one to three they must stay in quarantine in the hotel.

They just cut their pool of potential tourists by 90%.   With no real benefits, given that letting vaccinated, tested tourists out into a city where 10-20% are already positive doesn't increase anyone's risks.

And unlike Phuket which is an island, they can't even pretend to keep out locals who have neither been vaccinated, nor tested.

the OP looks like it was written by a 5 year old, it is complete stupidity beyond belief - I really cannot add much more apart from the fact that pattaya is like a ghost town right now and there is no sign of that changing until they get to grips with this pandemic and get people fully vaccinated - they really need to have a reality check - this country is going down the #### fast and there is no stopping it - these baffoons are showing just that

Smeds.....settle bloke..... no busting a gasket eh?

Yup, a 5 year old or my soi cat can communicate better than the news report.

There is Pattaya city centre and East Pattaya (probably another hundred places.)

Likely many food traders moved over to darkside. Never seen it so busy in 8+ years.

Certainly East Pattaya is thriving. Life goes on.

Perhaps only doom and gloom for those collecting rent in city centre.

Yes. Vaccines need to be available.

Relax dude.

Pure idiocy on every front.

Idiocy to consider reopening when the Covid numbers around Pattaya are skyrocketing.

Worse idiocy to believe tourists will flock in "large numbers" to somewhere with rampant Covid and a list of mad conditions longer than your arm.

As for the projected numbers and revenue, yes, you guessed it, more idiocy.

Yup....picked a bad day to give up glue sniffing.

Actually, IMO most destitute Thais will head to the village where they can grow their own food. IMO most Thais retain links to village relatives.

I for one do not expect millions of starving Thais in the future.

Fair call Bloke. Cheers

Whats the sealed route? How are they intend to police that? people will try and push the boundaries as happened here in Phuket yesterday

Soi 6 and 6/1 are easy to seal off. What else do you need ?

Sorry but here, you are insulting the 5 year olds.

Shame on you.

That link lists doses administered, not people vaxxed. Thais claim 14m+ shots. They seem to have stopped publishing details of single and double vaxxed numbers of people.

A move in the right direction... this will work better because many would be tourists love Pattaya , i for one will prefer to go to Pattaya than to fly to Phuket, as Pattaya offers a lot more hotel and entertainments choices then any other destinations in Thailand...

Entertainment choices ??? Hotels yes but entertainment is a bit slow at the moment and won't be much better in the near future(let's say the near future means the next 6 months)
