About bank passbook copies being up to max 7 days old... I believe it has to be updated on the the day you apply for the extension. Which is an inconvenience because banks open at ie 1100 and it doesn't add anything anyway (make sure to do a ATM transaction before so there is actually something to show on the passbook) . It also says so in official documentation.

It seems CM immigration as of now indeed accepts documents that are less than 7 days old, including the bank papers (But for how long? Maybe the finally figured out that all these shopping mall banks only open at 11:00). However, they still find nonsense hoops for you. Like, oo i do not see a transaction in the month September. How do I know your money was still there at the time? Duh.. it's not deducted is it? So what was there, still is there. But hey, they want you to go to the bank to get some other statement. So bank manager just wrote something herself. It is so nonsensical. Or some comment like your efficient copying did not leave space for my huge stamp. How about having a clear website that mentions exactly what one needs for what and how including a completed dummy example. I think they do not even want that. The prefer the personalized flexible treatment.. in a negative way that is. Efficiency is not their priority, if it is even on the list. It is also a massive sheep farm there. can renewal be done at central festival chiang mai immigration? or must be done at the immigration close to airport?

I did once with an agent, they got me under consideration stamp in central festival and told me to come for 1 year stamp at immigration close to airport once the under consideration date is due.

The other duplicate set of prepared documents should remain with me. It's first come first serve - the documents at the bottom of the basket get the first queue numbers. Hence, there is no need to get a queue number at the front area that used to be the COVID-19 screening area. Queue numbers are given out by the document check officer at 8:30 am when the document check center officially opens up.

I came at 7:50 am and had to wait until around 10:30 am. Everything was done at 11:30 am.

This year in 2026, it is noticeably much more crowded than in 2020-2025. How long did it take to prepare everything? I'm on a retirement visa but was thinking I might switch. I have a nearby local office and I'm starting to get to know the staff. I can setup an appointment so there will be no waiting and I think the IO will be accommodating. The office is extremely slow usually. Also, do you need a new Kor 2 each year? Thanks

This is why I now use an agent. After many, many years of doing everything myself, I simply grew tired of doing it.
