BANGKOK, July 21 (TNA) – The government closed 10 more kinds of places in maximum and strict COVID control zones.

The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) increased the types of closed business premises and public and activity venues in 13 provinces under maximum and strict COVID-19 control from 23 by 10 in a bid to contain the virus.

Dr Apisamai Srirangson, the CCSA’s assistant spokesperson said the 23 places previously ordered to be closed included entertainment venues, massage parlors, cockfighting rings and boxing stadiums.

In Bangkok, most of the banks are closed (who needs money?), but the Indian tailor shops on Sukhumvit are all open.

Who knew they were 'essential'!

Go figure.

Would it not be easier to list what is open now?

Our local Homepro has been open all this time.  I would have thought they were non-essential.  Maybe they class themselves as a supermarket.

Funny how hotels aren't forced to close officially, but no pool, no gym, no spa there isn't a thing to do, on top travel is restricted and curfew from 9pm...

Time to buy in a few kegs of beer and a box or 3 of scotch !!

bought a case of Sang Som.

that will last for a while.

Suits needed for funerals (for the living and the dead).

Homepro is definitely essential, if they want me to stay home all day I need things to do around the house:)

Oh, and beer is essential for when I'm finished too.

Nothing like a nice purple tailor-made suit when you stroll down the soi.

Reverse psychology...

Itemise what's closed looks like they're doing something positive

Itemise what's open looks like they've failed.

Not quite that bad, but not too far off, either...
