I know it is hard to believe but with over 300 million US population compared to Thailands 70 million

Yes it is less publicized in Thailand like everything else as many cases never get past the first investigating bribe taker but...

you know....... i am not a STAT guy.   i believe what i see and experience , and i have a lot of that .

There have been many posters here that have lived here for decades,  and I believe almost 100 % who are americans would say they feel safer here than in the states .   if not, they would most certainly come from a well to do area with no need to travel into inner cities or be out at night.

What passes for facts in this era of censored "news"  is IMO  the scariest of all things that I see .

To be precise:  it is amazing how many people believe they have it all figured out.  "just look at the facts".

sorry,  there has been one instance in all the years I have been here of some nut going on a shooting spree.   And in my 30 years of travel in Thailand I have NEVER felt in danger when traveling around or living in the 10 different areas that i have.    Nor have people been aggressive towards me for no reason at all.  Nor have i seen gangs wandering around or drive by shootings

But thank you for setting me straight on how Thailand is just as dangerous and aggressive

What is there about Canada to make anyone proud?

Apart from your Prime Minister?

There are lots of things but I will correct you one important one.

The Prime minister is not something we are proud of.

Thanks. You had me worried for a while.

I can't recall if I answered this already, but I plan to die here.

Preferably in bed "in flagrante" about three heartbeats ahead of the keystone cops barging in on one of their Valentines day raids on wicked nongs who won't quit harming the image of Thailand with their horny ways, having been morally poisoned by dirty farangs.

Bury me in the abandoned sandbox, and don't forget to turn out the lights when you head for the relative freedom of Communist Laos or Vietnam!
