Busy little fellow. After the first 45 seconds of video, I went back 15 minutes later and he'd (she'd) dug out a lot more damp dirt.

 

I'll check again tomorrow to see what he's (she's) up to.

Don't kill it bro, many of them prey on mosquitos and other human harming pests, also, they usually don't bother you if you don't bother them,.

 

Nests under chairs and tables however are my territory, and they get nuked.

I'm not an entomologist, but that sure looks like a wasp, a crabronidae wasp.

Yes, I Googled the name and it certainly looks like one. I'll try to get a better picture tomorrow.

It rained a lot tonight - hope it didn't drown down it's burrow.  ????
