Isn't it a little bit early for the streets to be flooding? Well, they are out here- but the weather itself is nice. Cooling off, and clearing the air.

Was crossing over Sukhumvit earlier on a bridge, and I noticed one of the largest, clearest rainbows I've seen in my life- not only that, but there was an extra "reflection" (the colours were reversed!) about 10 degrees above the original, weaker in colour but still clear. I've never seen such a thing before! I was transfixed, stood there about 10 minutes until they faded. There were hundreds of pedestrians, cars, etc. around me but I seemed to be the only one who noticed.

We saw something very similar out near Fashion Island (close to new airport). Half the soi was outside looking at it and wondered what was going on.

You've noticed one of the coolest phenomena: rainbows flipping colors. Too, the dark band between the rainbows is referred to as "Alexander's Dark Band" - no foolin'!

The missus just told me it hailed in east BKK yesterday - when was the last time that happened? It's the first time she's seen it...
