Is a hospital's marketing department considered front line workers? Accounting? Departments with offices in buildings other than the hospital? How would you feel if the Pfizer vaccine was being given as a booster to them after 2 Sinovac doses before it was given to people who are still unvaccinated?

Personally, I will be "feel" Okay as I need frontline medical workers, if I get sick...????

Edit/addition: And little more plain statistics, a vaccinated frontline medical worker might save more lives from one booster jab, instead of saving only one person getting a first jab.

Oh, so you consider a hospital's marketing team, which works in a different building and not in the hospital, as a front-line medical worker?

I guess you didn't read my initial comment before replying to it. Or else you didn't understand its implication.

I did, and you asked question about other job positions than the news article mentions. What I'm reacting to is the opening post article about a frontline nurse. The society needs them. and all other persons in the health frontline. If the people you mentions are also performing duties in health frontline, then they are also needed...????

So how do they do it in the USA?

The required training to administer a jab is not to a particularly high level. Provide training.

There is already a big network of community health volunteers.

If it is made commercially viable then they will find the space.

With the numbers of 7/11 outlets available there will not be the massive queues seen at the few vaccination centres.

I am throwing an idea up for discussion. I am not suggesting it should be all up and running next week but I am suggesting it as a ( possible) way to maximize the reach of the vaccination programme once you have a sufficient supply of the vaccines.

In the USA they do it in stores that have a qualified and licensed pharmacist already on staff - not just in any old convenience store.

The photo that was posted earlier of a store in the US, clearly showed this. You can see that it says, "Ask in the pharmacy," and that it has a "Pharmacist in Charge."
