Being well over a million Baht up this year on my crypto investment, I think it's a good idea.

However, it is the best idea to do your research very thoroughly before getting involved though, as there are safe environments and not safe ones. Same goes for the currencies. Some are good investments, some are pump and dump rip offs.

Digital currency is coming to everyone. The only question if it is a Country issued digital dollar, where everything you do can be monitored, or decentralised ones, such as we are seeing already. Cash will soon be a thing of the past.

The hacker identified himself, and is apparently a white hat who exploited a chink in the programming to prove a point to the company.  All the assets will be returned someone has stated.  We shall see now won't we.  My crypto is safe and secured in my own wallet and then the ETH I had was converted to ETH2 and has been staked in return for a 6% interest.  We shall see where this goes.  For me if it vanishes and all is lost and as some hope all crypto fails, well then I am fine as I have already taken profits plus to buy cars and help in buying a new house for a family member.

Steam trains are much more efficient than horses , but money is much more efficient than Crypto currency

Don't know if he has been traced or just worried of being caught and outed himself . And €160milj is not near half of the €600milj.

Crypto isn't a good idea, it's a GREAT idea!

And for those who don't know better, ANY software can be hacked, not just crypto exchanges.

Poly's software had vulnerabilities, which the hacker exploited.

Because of the transparency of blockchain, however, the route the purloined coins and tokens take can be traced to the end-user's wallet. So the hacker will be bound to be nabbed eventually.

It is noteworthy that this individual didn't steal any Dogecoin. I wonder if Elon has noticed that!

Fiat is becoming something of an anachronism in the modern world, but, quite obviously, even once it is digitised, central banks are going to hold on to it; manipulate it, just like they do gold.  It gives them power over the masses.

The holders of scarce, decentralised assets, like Bitcoin, however, will largely be out of the reach of such control.

Of course it's a good idea regardless. Cash isn't a bad idea just because there are pickpockets either. In both cases, you can take measures to prevent or mitigate theft.

It already is, we have online banking and credit cards

Crypto is a great asset to trade right now until it crashes like in 2018 but anything that can drop 50% in a month or so isn't a reliable currency.

If you have a buyer.

I have bad impression that money itself is a well developed scam and this shows everywhere.

Sure, if you manage to gain you not complaining.

"money" -- you mean USD?

And Enron's business model is the innovative future of energy delivery.

Until one day, it's not...

Yawn. I've been hearing "cash will be a thing of the past soon" all my life. Never will this happen as long as schemes which plummet 50% virtually overnight are an alternative.

Cash is king!

How could we have ransomware without crypto currency?

Sounds like the average ladyboy story to me ????
