My marriage is kind of 'on the rocks', crumbling around me.

Some men don't realize how terrible they look, smell, act or dress.  I've seen fat rude sweaty slobs that need to take a good look in the mirror and not trying to blame women for his shortcomings.

Withdraw all financing for her and the household immediately. Let her see what it's like to get by on her own money for a while. Don't pay school fees or provide for the child either.

  • Your wife may be going through "Postpartum depression".  Many women go through it having a child.   You need to realize its not you and her harmones will settle down and she'll be all over y

Disagree,

I've been married to a Brit virgin schoolteacher (degree), and to a Thai bar girl (left school age 12).

Both were equally unfaithful, both were looking for free houses.

The Thai bar girl was much nicer in every way imaginable.

Living with a woman is always trouble, up to you to limit the trouble.

Sometimes the trouble is worth it.  There are studies out there indicating that in general, married men and women are both happier and healthier than their unmarried counterparts.  Of course that won't be true for everyone, and it's not a reason to stay in a bad relationship  - - actually the opposite, sometimes it's best to part ways and free yourself to pursue good relationship(s).

I agree with you sort of, but as a still somewhat fat, considerate and very hygienic person (though I have lost 100 lbs in the last 18 months), I'm going to take issue with your fat-shaming example. I've seen plenty of skinny, tattooed, toothless, crackhead losers who are guilty of doing the same thing you're accusing fat people of.

Just sayin'...

I agree and here is the link to a 75+ year study to back-up your claim:

Has anyone ever actually been deported for doing volunteer work? I've never heard of this happening. Perhaps you could post a link to a relevant news story?

"You'll get deported if you do anything helpful" is a classic Thaivisa meme, with no basis in fact. It's simply not true.

There was the German bloke couple years photographed helping his unwell MIL chicken stand, stated helping (not employed) he was arrested for working without a permit, as I recall and deported.

Wow. Do you realise how bad you sound here?

What the poster was implying is that the OP should bail if the wifey has effectively ended their relationship.

That's unfortunate, but helping to run a chicken stand isn't really the same as volunteering at a charitable organisation. Also, aren't you referring to this news story? The German in question was wanted by Interpol for numerous crimes - he wasn't deported due to his BBQ chicken skills.

I like this quote and sounds like a bell.

I have no where to live if booted out, no friends.

If by that you mean you have no money to rent something, you are IMO doomed to remain with her, and make the best of it. At least you have a dog that loves you.

If staying with her, are you not at least able to have a relationship with your child.

If you ain't having sex with your wife, you have joined the very large club of guys that don't either.

Whatever, at least start protecting what money you do have, so she can't get it if you do get divorced, and buying expensive stuff would not be a good idea.

BTW, I have been where you are. It's been hard, but I did survive post divorce, though I had to leave Thailand to do so.
