I am sure the vast majority are hard working and honest

Unlikely, but I'm sure there are some law-abiding ones.

Nigerians can only obtain visas from their own country. I've never seen them at any Thai embassy or consulate in this region. Nor have I seen any at the borders around Thailand when doing a border run.

They were obviously black Americans then. You will notice that I wrote 'Nigerians', they were black Africans, could be from Ghana, Cameroon etc.

Well, well, well, another dishonest Nigerian - time to vet EVERY Nigerian in Thailand and on entry and on visa application. Seems the entire nation is on some fiddle or other going by repetitive and constant TV stories

A while back it was reported that  Pol Lt Gen Surachate, aka “Big Joke” was replaced, not for his clampdown on immigration officers, but for clamping down on Nigerians/black criminals. His removal was based on him being racist.

Seems a bit of a coincidence that he has now been reinstated into the Thai police and this big drugs bust comes about.

At least he will not have to pay for his food.

You may be wrong on that score. Prisoners are given basics food for free but can supplement their food rations by buying extra food whilst inside.
