Popular Post Crossy
For me:- Beefed up the wiring for the solar in anticipation of adding another 9 panels later this month. Fixed the non-starting mower. Emergency repair so the gardener could actually garden (clogged carb main jet). Mower is actually pretty tired, maybe time for a new one soon. Replaced the front bearing on the pool pump which became noisy 1 month outside warranty and a week later went quiet because it seized! New bearing 90 Baht from the farm shop, replacement a couple of hours of farang swearing (I really must buy a puller - like I said I would last time a pump went belly-up).

bkk6060
I drank a few beers and had sex 3 times. Finished all my "chores" in a prior life no more of that nonsense. Renting a nice big condo sure makes life more free, easier, simpler, and much more enjoyable.
G Rex
I pulled apart the dash from one of my cars, removed the instrument panel, dismantled it - and then replaced the speedo gauge with one that measures kilometres and not miles. It had been annoying me for a while, and I was apprehensive about doing the job. Anyway - mission accomplished - everything replaced. No squeaks or rattles! Had a few beers to celebrate!

tifino
my little generator khrapped out, in that the Pull StarterRecoil Assy did a total self-destruct... of course it is one of those generic china-built 'throwaway' gennies - for which there are No Spare Parts Replacements... SO the task was to replace the entire pull start recoil with whatever might be available? but which will also fit into the miniscule compartment surrounding that end of the motor. Well, I sourced some whippersnipper RopePullRecoils on eBay, dictated solely by what was 'small enough' to fit in that space?? Well this weekends task is to create a steel adaptor plate that will mate the engines (Recoiler) mounting points, with the mounting points on the new little Recoil unit ???? Last night I fashioned a 'template' unit out of the plastic lid from a 1kg Yogurt container - namely due to it being very thin, thinner than tinplate even... I know there won't be much latitude regarding the thickness, when a final steel/tin 'adaptor plate' is put in situ; in regards to providing the correct clearances between stationary and rotating parts... I am still visualising that this project is a sort of scaled down version akin to making an adaptor plate for mating a 4cylCarClutch, onto a v8 engine ???? The final Smoke test may be interesting to watch, albeit from behind safety goggles...
