MANILA (Reuters) - The Philippines is well-placed to weather tighter financial conditions should the U.S. Federal Reserve raise rates, the country's central bank governor said on Thursday.

The Philippines enjoys sound economic fundamentals, central bank Governor Benjamin Diokno told a news conference. He said the central bank had a wide range of monetary policy at its disposal to deal with any short-term volatility.
