Don’t be too impressed by the numbers. She is still a brainless doll. A talentless one.

Regardless, Blackpink and Lisa, in fact the entire K-Pop phenomenon, is brilliantly marketed and produced to extract as much value as they can from a manufactured music industry.

I'm sure she is in tears after reading your comments...tears of laughter, as she counts her 100million baht...

The bottom line is they are signing contracts before they even know what is happening.  One thing is certain if LaLisa performs in Phuket there will be a huge surge in tourism form the young girls and families that get dragged along from Korea.

As for Botacelli yes he is a great singer however, there really is no value in bringing him to Bangkok for an open air televised performance.

The challenge is that the Thai music industry has not developed the stars that they need.

Remember that in marketing in Thailand it is the 18-30 market that probably spends the most as they have free capital to spend.

Botticelli is not going to interest them in the slightest.

So easy to dismiss her achievements from atop your own pile of awards and stacks of cash.

You have to remember this is Thai Visa, and even a Miss Thailand Universe pageant draws criticism of how ugly or manly the contestants are, and that their wife/girlfriend is 10 x better looking.

So a pretty, talented Thai girl making 100million...doesn't stand a chance here...

talentless bimbo

I can't speak on the bimboness (couldn't find anything about her education), but she's certainly very talented in singing and dancing (and presumably in whatever it takes to be discovered and signed to a record label).  You might not like her genre, but it's fairly objectively visible.

I assume she would have got nowhere without her looks, but equally she would need to be at the very least be a talented dancer to succeed.

I have a different opinion about the measures of one’s talent. For you, it is clearly all about money and popularity (of any kind). But I can give you a lot of examples of rich or popular people not having any talent at all. Like Lady Diana. Both rich and famous but without any talent. And the opposite might also be true: Van Gogh, at the time of his life, was  poor and unknown to the public.

Quite the opposite. For me, the measure of someone's talent is the measure of their talent. The girl can clearly sing and dance, these are talents, she is talented.

There is nothing special in her singing or dancing. Absolutely nothing special. Ask any specialist. Many of Pattaya agogo girls, for example, can dance and sing at the same level of “talent”. She is all about the luck  of being in the right time and in the right place. That’s it.

Who cares? If someone would pay me all that money for my limited white-man-underbite dancing skills, I'd consider myself very special. Very, very special.

You are starting to sound like a bitter and jealous old man.

Largely irrelevant. She has talent, she is talented. That's it.

Ok. In my opinion John Lennon was talented. Or Jimi Hendrix. In yours : Lisa Buriram and Lady Diana.  These are our personal opinions which should signal others what kind of inner world each of us possesses

With this  I prefer to end the pointless discussion..

Ah, I see you have a "talent" for insulting people who do not agree with you.  Bravo!

Sorry I don't share the same negative attitude as you, nor feel the need to put people down.  I think "talented" would be an understatement for Lennon or Hendrix.  Akin to saying their music was "OK".  They were clearly gifted and masters of their craft.

I would place Lennon and Hendrix above Lalisa, although she clearly has talent.  I don't remember mentioning Princess Diana though.

Have a nice evening.

Thai musicians have been economically devastated by shut downs of concerts and bars. The 200 million baht would be better spent on local bands playing local free outdoor concerts (not extravaganzas, just community get togethers). Get the bands back to work, bring communities together for some fun.

This blowing 200 mill on 2 performers seems "unwise" and only benefits a few in 2 locations... but then again TIT

Not unusual and this has nothing to do with brains. It is a gift.

Not saying the girl is brainless as I do not know her, in every sense of the term

so she left Thailand to become successful?  But she is Thai-born, so we will claim her as a Thai success.....
