Jonathan Fairfield
From Monday, restaurants and eateries in some provinces will be allowed to serve alcohol to customers – but not in Hua Hin. On Friday (Oct 29), Thailand’s Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) announced that alcohol was back on the menu at restaurants in Bangkok, Krabi, Phuket and Phang Nga, as part of the country’s plans to reopen to foreign tourists. However, the ban on alcohol remains in place in all other provinces in Thailand, including in Prachuap Khiri Khan, and also in the other tourism provinces included in the reopening. spidermike007
This policy is punitive, draconian, obnoxious, unnecessary and amounts to sabotage of both tourism, and the livelihood of the Thai people. Beer does not cause Covid. Highly selective shutdowns done without the use of science do cause Covid. Prayuth, Anutin and their policies cause Covid. Thailand needs to rid themselves of this rot. Start forbidding extreme dumbness now.
