The Thai gov should only let people who are traveling in the next 30days apply. It is stupid having thousands of applications for a month or two away blocking someone who wants to travel in the next few days or week.

Knowing the potential for problems with any form of application to the Thai authorities (which is already happening with Thailand Pass - nothing to do with the number of applications) and having shelled out a substantial amount of money for flights, accommodation, insurance and tests, wouldn't you want to apply well in advance?

I actually feel sorry in advance for those who follow the recommended timescale, have hassle and find their Thailand Pass is not accepted before their flight date - as happened many times with C.O.E.

Do you mean don't use a Hotmail email address as a contact email?

yes, for a reason or another, no one gets a confirmation email, I have not seen anyone receive either confirmation or the pass on an @hotmail.com .

This is a Thai website.

The reality is that 6,000 people got kicked off the site 5 or 6 times each before they figured out it only worked if they used Windows XT with IE 1.0, attachments only accepted in WordPerfect and Lotus 1-2-3.

What's a website?

Sounds a bit Sci fi to me

2 hours ago I entered the data in Thailand-Pass (Microsoft Edge) for me (German) and my wife (TH) until the end and sent them.

Positive: Everything ok until the end, no query about insurance for my TH wife

Negative: Only a confirmation after sending on the monitor that the registrations have been made --- no e-mail.

To be fair i did receive the confirmation email for both of us but are you saying when you applied for a Thai National there was no insurance section or you could bypass it?

Also asking for the 1st dose vaccine confirmation.

A bunch of people i know have thrown away that page the moment they received the 2nd dose / vaccine pass as the 1st dose page was now totally useless.

Now the issue with the 2nd dose confirmation / vaccine pass is that it doesn't say when the first dose was injected and the vaccine centers can no longer issue that page.

Fortunately being double jabbed in the UK all that information is available straight off the NHS app for emailing or downloading directly to you. Obviously not the same for Thailand...Example.pdf

Weird site though. Wouldn't work with Chrome but did with Edge which is now based on Chrome yet other people have no issues. Anyway, easy to use but a huge issue with excepted document only in JPEG, PNG etc but not PDF which means all documents consisting of a single page has to be uploaded individually. Appreciate most people don't have scanners so to take a picture with your phone is easier, hence the image style formats but, most sent documents from hotel booking to insurance policies, flight details etc are in PDF format. Personally I think that is a massive mistake excluding PDF format.

Also for Thai Nationals Thailand Pass the final section is insurance which they don't need. It wont let you complete the application for submission until you enter Start Date, Policy Number, coverage amount etc NAD upload something. I just copied the section from the Thailand Website stating Thai do not need insurance, saved as a JPEG and uploaded that. Seems like the programmers forgot to remove the entire section on Insurance when you select Returning Thai National. Perhaps it will be removed at some point when enough complain but then again I haven't had the actual pass come through yet!!

I've had problems with Chrome on a couple of sites although I can't remember what but I think it was around online payment. I had to use Edge instead.

I saw something this morning about issues with uploading docs and the ways to deal with it. One was the file formats which seems stupid to say the least. The other was  not being able to upload hotel receipt files with multiple pages. The advice was to see if one page would give all the information but if not book a hotel that gives a one page receipt. Doesn't strike me as that professional to be honest. Fortunately I don't need to apply just yet so maybe things will get better.
