Lolz!

Thailand: The only country in the world where paying for a BJ is just as easy as buying a pack of chewing gum at the corner 7-11, but you're not allowed to visit pornhub.com. ????

Could always be like Japan where porn is allowed but only with the body parts that make it porn in the first place fuzzed out, (so i've been told)

Another great chuckle to start the day.

Today there is no contradiction between porn and Thai culture.

Watching porn is a choice. My gf and I use it to get the engines started quickly and away we go.

But hey, that's just our "culture".

Is this the Thai culture that is demonstrated by the highest levels of Thai society?  If so, I don't see a problem.

Rich folk, powerful folk can have mia nois as part of Thai culture? Is that prostitution or porn?

Your culture is evident in every seaside resort, or city locations:

Walking street, Bangla road, Soi Cowboy, Nana, Patpong to name but a few.

Everything you can see on "Only fans" is available for rent every night.
Whats the difference between buying it on the street or watching it in the privacy of your own home?

Perhaps the "culture" is to exchange funds for it, with person directly and in person?

Porn is just there.  It's not culture, in a way it's stupid.  It's a watch, over, keep going.

I don't see people walking down the street with porn blaring on their phones speakers going "OOOOH  YEAH BABY OHHHH YEAH, OH GIVE IT TO ME OOOOH YEAAAAHH".

I don't give a toss about the porn.

But culture is NEVER more important than freedom.

Wrong. All societies need a degree of discipline in order to function properly. Self-indulgence is decadence and only leads to the degeneration of values and behaviour. Self-indulgence in the name of 'freedom' is misguided and dangerous.

Is scamming a tourist seen as part of Thai culture? It certainly happens frequently enough.

Is jumping a red light part of Thai culture or is it that red lights aren't so it's OK to ignore them.

Just what defines Thai culture except for a sense of me, me, me above all others?

I would like to ask the Culture Minister, given that culture covers a wide range,

Can he give me just four aspects of Thai culture that are worth preserving that ore more important than what we do in the privacy of our own homes, that in any case is none of your business..

Culture plays a very important role in those days before technology because word and information can only spread between people, but in today’s modern world, anyone can access the resources by themselves.
They can decide and choose their freedom.

There's only one way to deal with this - the same way prostitution has been dealt with for thousands of years: frown on it officially, but don't stamp it out. That preserves morals and caters to human nature.

Of course they are not going to say 'porn is ok' - that's the road to degeneracy.

I applaud any culture defending their culture (and not invading anyone else's).
