PM confident Thailand will reach vaccination target by year’s end

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Prime Minister has expressed satisfaction with Thailand’s vaccination rollout and its vaccine regimens that can help reduce severe symptoms and deaths from COVID-19. He is confident the vaccination target of 100 million doses can be reached before the end of this year.

All train services at Bangkok’s Hua Lamphong train terminal to come to an end

Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob has stressed the necessity of ending all train services to and from Hua Lamphong railway terminal. Daily rides into the station will be initially reduced to 22 from 118, to ease traffic congestion caused by periodical closures of roads at level crossings.

Record 870,000 Thais unemployed in Q3 2021, household debt surges 5% – NESDC

Impacted by COVID-19 lockdown measures, about 870,000 Thais were jobless during the third quarter of this year, a record high, with college and university graduates accounting for 3.63%. Meanwhile, household debt increased 5% over the same period, compared to the second quarter.

Phuket marks 86 new COVID cases, no new deaths

Rapid drop in mercury in Nong Khai triggers dense sea of fog

UNHCR ‘dismayed’ by Thailand’s deportation of third Cambodian refugee this month

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, on Tuesday issued a statement deploring Thailand’s deportation of a Cambodian refugee, which occurred only ten days after the authorities deported two other Cambodian refugees.

Registrations for free Pfizer jabs for non-formal education students open Tuesday

Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) and the Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health, Medical Services Department, are providing free vaccinations, with the Pfizer mRNA vaccine, to students in non-formal education aged between 12 and 18, from November 25th until December 7th, with registrations through mobile phones beginning today (Tuesday).
