Please check the title of the thread mate. It's about booze and bars opening, which is why I said Thailand is definitely not wide open

not sure what they are trying to accomplish with all the restrictions, it's pointless, and won't stop another wave of infections in Thailand

Yes, there is that.

Yet, I feel a bigger picture is being missed.

That of unnecessary government suppressive intrusion into our everyday lives. Creeping and omnipresent.

Worldwide.

Nothing to do with arrogance. Everything to do with caution and disease prevention. With Covid-19 sweeping through Europe and lockdowns being reintroduced in Germany, Austria, Holland etc it wise of the Thai government to be cautious. The white entitlement of western tourists does not and should determine Thai national health policy. The Thai people don't want a return to mass tourism.

To be cautios of what exactly? Please explain how is a double vaxxed and double tested person from Europe or anywhere else is a danger to anyone

Well, that aged poorly.

Jawohl!

I am not so worried about bars (but it would be nice) but I would like to go to my favorite restaurants and have a grass of wine or two with dinner, Until this happens they wont get my custom.
