In the afternoon of Monday 4th June, Mr. Niels Colov, President of the Rotary Club of Pattaya and CEO of Pattaya People Media Group, welcomed a group of 30 Foreign Police Volunteers to the Pattaya People office for a meeting.

The volunteers are a combination of many nationalities therefore they will be able to assist the police with language problems. Teams of volunteers will be on standby at the police station on 2 shifts; from noon until 6 pm and from 6 pm until midnight. In case of any emergencies, the police are able to call on the volunteers to come over to assist other than the times mentioned.

In the meeting the volunteers collected their uniforms and were divided into 4 groups. Starting Monday 11th June there will be Foreign Volunteers at Pattaya Police Station to assist tourists of all nationalities in Pattaya.

I could never be a TPV, I'd spend too much time arresting myself, and then having to bribe myself to get myself out of jail, I wouldn't have time to enjoy myself ! :D

Plus I'd feel compelled to arrest daleyboy and britmaveric everytime they got up on stage at Jenny's, as a safety matter of course :o

(not safe for kurgen to be dancing up there when those other two are getting jiggy with it on the bar !) :D

Maybe he'll recruit his mate Khamnan Po as the Major-General Field Marshall Colonel C in C (or whatever) of these sad pathological egotists..........that's if he can release Somchai from his hamburger duties. But, but it's a good diversionary tactic.

But one of them got a cuddle from a happy tourist :o

Drunken Aussie at Local Market

In the busy hour of 5 am when vendors usually come out to local markets to purchase fresh food and vegetables for their businesses, a report came in to Pattaya Police Station on 6th June that a drunken foreigner was sleeping in the Wat Chaimongkhon’s local market. He was causing difficulties for the vendors trying to sell their products because he was lying amongst their goods. Whoever tried to wake him up was verbally abused so they decided to call the police.

When the police arrived with police volunteers they found the tourist to be an Australian national. They tried to wake him up to escort him back to wherever he resides but in return was given the middle finger by the man.

When one of the volunteers tried to pull the man up he was pulled down and locked in the man’s arms. It took 5 officers to help get the volunteer free of the man’s grip. In the end the officers had to handcuff the tourist and with difficulty escorted him onto the police truck and took him back to the police station to cool off in the cells until he sobered up.
