Hi all.

My girlfriend was granted a UK VV 6 months which will expire in September.

Unfortunatley after the visa was granted one thing after another has stopped her comming over.

If it expires before she uses it will she just have to reapply as if from scratch? Or can something else be done.

You can try contacting the embassy before the visa expires and ask that it's re-issued, explaining the reasons why your girlfriend has been unable to travel. It may then be re-issued free. However, if the visa expires before she travels, I'm afraid it will have to be a totally new application.

Also, if the things that have prevented your girlfriend from travelling have had a material bearing upon either your circumstances or hers, this may influence any further consideration by the embassy.
