Police in Bang Plee, Samut Prakan south east of the Thai capital Bangkok didn't have to do much to solve an attempted bank robbery in the middle of the night.

The cops got a call at 4 am that someone had thrown a rock through the window of the Thepparak branch of Kasikorn.

They recovered a rock and saw that there was a blood trail to an ATM and to desks where things had been rifled through.

But nothing had been stolen.

Investigators followed the blood drops to a convenience store 50 meters away where they found 28 year old Krissada with a grievous hand wound, reported Sanook.

He was taken to hospital then the police station.

He was so drunk that police couldn't get much sense out of him initially but he later revealed that he needed money for a top up of booze so got a rock and attempted the robbery.

Unfortunately he cut himself in the process leading to his timely arrest.

He just thought there would be a few 1000's of Baht left in the drawers,

paralytic ,but looking for more money to buy booze, should have just

gone home and slept it off.

Don't think they'll get much more sense out of him sober either..
