I have been given this plant. I know what it is but have no idea how to look after it. 

Inside or outside. Sunny or not.

How often to water it, any fertilizer?

Water it before the leaves droop.  Wilting indicates physiological stress that is best avoided with preventive care.

Very hard to judge the correct water for cannabis plants.

Most growers say water when they droop.

My friend prefers to grow in coco as it's impossible to over-water, the excess just runs through.
