Popular Post webfact
Picture: Sanook A school in Phetchaburi responded after damning pictures of their lunch appeared on the "Maa Fao Baan" (guard dog) page online. The lunch at Wat Tha Haew school was really measly, or so it appeared. There was just some thin noodle soup and maybe a bit of potato. Some days there wasn't any fruit or sweet for the primary school kids, it was claimed. School director Datchanai Thangthong called an urgent meeting of his staff and found that the negative posts resulted from some of his teachers not getting along amicably reported Sanook. One P3 teacher called Sararin, 32, said the offending lunch was a P3 one. She explained that teachers had told the cook not to put too much on the plate so that children finished what they were given first. They could always ask for seconds if they were not full. Parents had been informed that the children were getting their "Five A Day" and that the picture on social media was at odds with reality. The children were all well fed, it was asserted. The director added that the picture in question showed the lunch before it was fully loaded on the dish. ASEAN NOW notes that scandals over officials at schools creaming off money from budgets for school dinners, leaving the children hungry, result in frequent stories in Thailand. There is no question of that happening in this case, of course. tonray
In the two high schools I worked at, the food court was essentially private vendors (usually with some tribute to the director to get the slot) and the kids paid for their meals....I guess primary is different

MrJ2U
Someone is just taking home half of the school food supplies. Probably the entire staff. Kids need that food so there brains can function during school. Hard to get away with things with social media these days.
