No, it’s not true. I was there 10 days ago.

Not required. It's one of 3 options.

Just fill out form.

Thanks. Good to hear. Sounded impossible to implement effectively, not that that prevents these Covid protocols.

I saw some reports re: the NEW appointment system and CW. Maybe on FB?

I think you go to the queue counter inside, show your email/confirmation, then maybe get a special number. That's my vaguest recollection. Maybe just ask at the info counter in the foyer if in doubt.

In the olden appointment days, you were directed to, I think counter L1-32 for presecreening (for an ext stay/ret).

Dont forget to provide a hard copy of your appointment details

Correct.

BTW the print/copy stall on lower level can do it if anyone overlooks that requirement.

You forward them the confirmation email and they print it out.

Somebody on AN mentioned ATK tests before going to CW. I didn't see whether that was confirmed or not.

I've seen a few reports/threads, mostly on FB re: the screening process at CW.

Based on your answers on the screening form, you may be directed to an ATK test. It seems like those who are unvaccinated, or have been in a high-risk area, or who's family might be positive, etc, are more likely to get sent to the on-site ATK testing facility. All others pass go, and are allowed to enter, and queue for Immigration.

No, there is none of that. It’s just a sign that everyone walks past, nobody checks anything

Got there 30 mins before my appointment and got in the queue. Saw a member of staff at the checking desk so went to the front and explained I had an appointment, she then checked my documents.

1 guy tried to complain that “we are all here for the same thing, you know?”

I asked if he had an appointment, he did not, so that shut him up..

Given queue number 2 and paid my fee, no questions whatsoever and got 60 more days on top of my last extension.

In and out in an hour

So no rude .."this is your last one"

"Where is your flight out" etc

Good result.

Perhaps someone had a word to that bombastic io.

Or maybe you just dodged a bullet.

This may have been the online appointment queue number, for your desk area?

Which activity did you select?

How many appointments were available for this activity?

Which time period did you select?

Which desk area provides the service you used?

at the checking desk

So this was the ~ 3 wide queuing desk area inside?

I'm guessing there was a line there?

I'm surprised there isn't a better process for those with appointments?

No, none of that for me or anyone else in ear shot

The shouty one wasn’t there before 9 this morning, but to be honest, she’s all mouth and never actually refuses anyone. I went there with a Thai girl once and she was laughing at the IO’s antics as she loudly admonished a Russian couple for not sharing the Sputnik vaccine. She thought she was hilarious.

Well I can’t answer all them questions, but yet the process is flawed for those with appointments. You aren’t supposed to even get a queue number if you have an appointment, but they gave me one (actually two)

recommended making an appointment and walking to the front of the queue and telling anyone in a uniform you have an appointment. I was the only one of 60-80 people there who had an appointment

Was it this one?

Extension for Tourist Visa (TR) issued by Thai Embassy or Consulate
Duration: 15 minutes

For Tourist Visa (TR) issued by Thai Embassy or Consulate

looks like ~ 28 slots per day.

I'm guessing most people do not know about this relatively new system, or weren't sure what day they would be going?

FWIW ext stay slots far fewer, only six (6) per day, many days close in sold out.
