webfact
By Natcha Patanasophon The deputy leader of the Pheu Thai party hit back at the government on Wednesday after criticisms from government house. Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, the government spokesman, told reporters at Government House on Tuesday that the Phue Thai’s victory in Sunday’s by-election resulted in only one seat and was inconsequential. Thanakorn added that PT should care more about the country than coming into power. Surachart Thienthong of the opposition Pheu Thai Party won a by-election in Bangkok’s ninth district on Sunday with 29,416 votes. Popular Post zyphodb
As it doesn't say what he said I thought it needed quoting. "Pheu Thai Deputy Leader Pichai Naripthapan told Thai Enquirer that he did not care about criticisms coming from the government. Instead the ruling party should consider why they lost the by-election and admit that their popularity is fading. “Our victory shows that the people crave for democracy, which the government doesn’t understand,” Pichai said. “The government should introspect and ask itself why it lost the people’s trust instead of criticizing the victors.” Pichai said that the results show the declining popularity of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha and its mismanagement including increased taxes and covid response failures. “The election results show how much people have struggled with this government,” Pichai said." 8

Popular Post Srikcir
"should care more about the country than coming into power" Seems PM Prayut disagrees as he refuses to dissolve Parliament and trigger a general election. A free and fair democratic General Election might better boost the country's reputation internationally as accepted as a true democratic nation than with a former 2014 junta chief with absolute power for four years who then "stacked" the last election in his favor with a junta appointed Senate and self-serving election laws.
