June 11, 200718 yr Having found a buyer for my house, I decided that I need to spend a few months on Koh Samui before getting serious about buying another. So I figure to need: - Fully furnished 1 BR or large room with kitchen facilities - Need DSL line - Serviced apartment or condo would be nice .. or near shopping and local Thai food restaurant. - I don't need to be near the beach - Prefer a quieter area and need parking - One person [a really old grouchy person;)], non smoker, non drinker, don't party. $$$? The local going rate (non tourist). Something around Bt 10,000/mo? I won't need to make a visa run as I'm on a retirement visa. Suggestions from you local expats will be greatly appreciated.

And I have a car. I would like to be able to walk to the beach, but having lived at the absolute edge of a beach for the past year has satisfied some visceral craving, I suppose. Much of the time I will be working on my computer and collecting info for an existing website.

I enquired there about a month ago and she indicated 12k per month. Clean and quiet. Not sure about ADSL tho. I didn't take it as something in Chaweng Noi came up. Good luck in your search.
