Siam Rath reported that Pol Lt-Col Damrong Sukchusri of the Bang Kaew police in Samut Prakan responded after an accident on the Bua Nakharin Road in Bang Plee last night.

Rescue workers at the scene took ten minutes to cut out the driver of a red Mercedes Benz. Attharsirot, 42, was taken to a local hospital.

One hundred meters away was the remains of a four wheel Toyota truck that had been driven by Jatuporn, 34, with four construction workers in the back.

The occupants had already been taken to hospital.

A construction official told the media that the head on collision occurred as the workers were returning to living quarters.

The truck was turning as the collision happened.

Police in the area are investigating.

It is not stated, but i can only presume the construction workers were not Thai, so 4 more to add to the list of foreign labourers injured by a Thai drivers this year.

Heads up to the Burmese wanting to come here, it may be safer to risk the bullets at home than be on Thai roads.

As it's not stated, you could just as "rationally" assume that the construction workers were Thai.

Considering that the vast majority of construction workers are NOT Thai then why would that be rational if the odds are they were not. You still missed the point of my post.

What makes you think that "the vast majority of construction workers in Thailand are not Thais?   Not some more of those Thaivisa posters' "we all know" stats?
