Popular Post snoop1130
BANGKOK (NNT) - The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has insisted that no lockdown will be imposed to bring the current wave of infections under control, even as the Ministry of Public Health raises its COVID alert to Level 4. According to a Facebook post by Health Ministry Spokesperson Rungrueng Kijphati, a meeting of the ministry’s Emergency Operation Center (EOC) concluded that the COVID alert level should be raised nationwide. It also resolved to step up containment measures in high-risk areas. The move comes amid a surge in Omicron coronavirus infections and severe cases and fatalities. Authorities have also noted an increasing risk of infection among friends and family members taking part in group activities like dining out and attending weddings. Members of the public are urged to work from home, avoid mass gatherings and non-essential travel between provinces, and suspend overseas trips. -- © Copyright NNT 2022-02-22 - Aetna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Popular Post JonnyF
No lockdown? Just like there would be no coup? Whenever these guys assure us something won't happen I always start to worry that it's just around the corner. Let's hope not.

There may even be the herd immunity benefit of letting it run through the population. Preventing the medical services from getting swamped is a necessity, less severe symptom wise it might be, but it will elevate numbers needing treatment.
Popular Post huangnon
So, we're going down the Chinese path of 'zero-covid', then? Anything to keep the despot's Article 44 'state of emergency' in place.

Aussieroaming
Anutin has already stated for the record that Omicron won't be an issue for Thailand because Thailand is so adept at managing covid and Thailand is world leading in covid management and response. The rapidly filling hospitals must obviously be due to other causes, like the flu or something. Maybe the transport minister needs to be briefed by Anutin in order to become the hub of RTA's and to convince the public that the road carnage is better managed than anywhere else in the world.
Karma80
So to be clear, all you did was change the number for no reason?
Emdog
My view is that no lockdown would be ordered because the people would simply ignore the order. "Consent of the governed" and all that. They've gone the route of ineffective lockdowns and decided the negligible benefits outweigh the costs.
