A small group of people, with the support of some lawyers, demonstrated in front of Nonthaburi police station yesterday (Sunday) to demand, among other things, the replacement of the current team of police investigating the drowning of TV actress Nida Patcharaveerapong, aka “Tangmo”.

The demonstrators want the team from the Nonthaburi either to be replaced by officers from the Department of Special Investigation or by a new team, with the media taking part as observers, amid a media circus surrounding the case, the investigation of which has seen little progress.

The latest forensics update indicates that the cuts on the actress’s thigh, believed to have been caused by the boat’s propeller, were not the cause of her death, because no major blood vessel was damaged.

She is dead and will not miraculously return.

The demonstrators have no right to interfere.

Let the lady be buried in peace with no more dramatics.

It is over, let it go.

And the guilty go free...?

and when the new investigation team find the same things that the old investigation team found then they will not be satisfied with that team and will want a new team again and again until they find a team that will give them the results that they want whether it is the truth or not.

Guilty of what?

An accident, manslaughter, murder, driving a boat without a licence or insurance? Driving a boat where the toilet wasn't working?

For me, her mother lost all credibility when she allegedly accepted 30 million baht. The police are scraping the barrel looking for eyewitnesses to anything.

When she allegedly accepted 30 million baht that seemed to be an end to it. Now, perhaps her lawyer, perhaps somebody else in the family or a friend, has smelt that where there is 30M there maybe a lot more and she should keep pushing for more and more.

As for the demonstrators, it has sfa to do with them at all.

IMHO after 2 post mortems this stinks of greed.

We only have the mothers word that the young lady would have earned enough in her working lifetime to give her mother 30M baht.

That's why they want the investigation.

Rumors of a high ranking military official waiting for the boat to deliver her to his clutches...  Theories about a fight on the boat as she found out what they had planned for her...  Mysterious wounds not consistent with the stories told by the participants...

Enquiring minds want to know.  So do idiots like me.

Who is THEY?

Rumours, theories, mysterious wounds et al.

The lady is dead. Let her be buried/cremated.

She shouldn't be autopsied again and again until her mother gets the result that SHE wants.

Leave her some dignity.

You're on the wrong thread.  This one is about demonstrators wanting more investigation.  There's another thread about the Mom wanting another autopsy.

If she was my daughter, I'd want an autopsy by a trusted entity, even if that means one more.  And I'd want all social media posts by people on the boat, along with all their texts and posts during and after the event.  Plus any video and photos from their phones.  Along with a record of all phone calls made by the participants to see if there was a nefarious plan...

That's what they're asking for.

A real investigation with real investigators.

Not this charade that's been going on where they haven't proved it one way or the other.
